Love Center served more than 200 families in March

There were 208 different families that came to the Love Center during the month of March. Some families came in more than once, making a grand total of 276 visits. Food from the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank was 21,603 pounds, and food donated by businesses, churches and individuals was 32,598 pounds. Volunteer hours served at the Love Center totaled 929.

Food and cash donations from churches and ministries included Church of God Food Pantry, Faith Lutheran Church, Glenmont Food Pantry, Joy in the Journey/Gospel Haven, Martins Creek Mennonite Church, Millersburg United Methodist Church, St. John’s Church of Christ in Millersburg, St. John’s Church of Christ in Walnut Creek, St. John’s Women’s Ministry in Millersburg, St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Millersburg, Union Grove Church of Christ and Zion Reformed Church.

Food and cash donations from businesses, organizations and clubs included Amish Door Restaurant, Berlin Natural Bakery, Coblentz Chocolates, Farmers (Hunter’s) Feeding the Hungry, Green Leaf Acres, Haven of Rest, Hershberger Farm & Bakery, Hillcrest Orchard, Jitters Coffee House, Kauffman Bakery, Mrs. Miller’s Homemade Noodles and Weaver Produce.

Food and cash donations from individuals included Brian Barbey, Ray Casdorph, Beth Crone, Kay Earney, Wayne and Pat Heller, Joanne Hunter, Leonard Jorz, Nina Kasner, Mary Mathias, Lynn Maynard, Norene McDowell, Betty Mullet, Karen Mullins, Dr. John Rehm, Norman Shank, Bob and Bev Starner, Vonnie Torrence, Katharyn Wheeler, Laura Yoder, and 10 anonymous.

Cash contributions for the general fund can be sent to P.O. Box 31, Millersburg, OH 44654, and food donations can be dropped off at the Love Center at 1291 Massillon Road, Suite A, Millersburg, any Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
