The next NetWalk with the Chamber, a partnership between the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce and Growing Healthy Habits Community, will be held May 4 at P. Graham Dunn in Dalton as part of the chamber’s Wellness Initiative.

NetWalks provide an opportunity for chamber members to build business relationships while benefiting from an improved sense of well-being associated with walking.

Participants should plan to arrive from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Check-in will be held outside near the pond and walking trail.

Additionally, wellness exhibitors will be available including Orrville Moves, where people sign up and log their activity; Working on Wellness, with a blood-pressure check provided by the Aultman Orrville Hospital WOW team; and a Mindfulness Moment with Brooke Winkler, who will lead several mindfulness activities.

The NetWalk will be on a loop around the pond, and leashed dogs are welcome. Fitness Bursts will be provided along the route by CrossFit Orrville. The event will end at 6 p.m., but walkers can stay as long as they wish.

NetWalk with the Chamber is all about getting outside, having a stroll and meeting new people. Walking opens the free flow of ideas and is a simple solution to the goals of increasing creativity, increasing physical activity and increasing one’s business network. According to studies, just one 10-minute walk a week can help reduce the chances of early death and maintain or lose weight.

NetWalk with the Chamber will be held the first Wednesday of the month through September. The location changes every month. Check out all the NetWalk events at
