A hands-on photography workshop is coming to Historic Zoar Village.

On Saturday, April 23, the public is invited to join Brandi Williamson for a beginner photography class as she teaches attendees how to be in control of the camera. Williamson will teach attendees how to turn off the auto setting and dive into the world of photography.

Other things taught include how to get the “blurry background” in photos, how to take good candid shots, how to get crisp photos, how to find and use light in photos, and knowing what those dials and settings mean on your camera and when to use each one.

The workshop will include refreshments from Dough Co. Doughnuts & Coffee, more than two hours of personalized instruction with plenty of practice breaks, workbooks to follow along and take notes, and an invite to a private Facebook group where learning can continue even when the class concludes.

The class size is limited, and reservations are required. The cost of the workshop is $250 per student.

Call 330-874-3011, email zoarinfo@historiczoarvillage.com or private message the Historic Zoar Facebook page.
