Local historian Kim Jurkovic will share information and images from the archives about the car dealerships and service stations that have existed in the Dover-New Philadelphia area in the past on March 24 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dover Public Library’s community room.

After a brief introduction, participants will be able to look at multiple display boards of photographs and advertisements of the car dealerships and service stations of yesteryear.

“I’m sure many people remember trips to the gas station when Dad treated the kids to a candy bar or a bottle of pop while he talked to the station owner as he pumped the gas,” said Sherrel Rieger, adult program specialist. “And most people still remember driving off the lot in their first car. We are going to walk — or should I say drive — down memory lane on March 24.”

To register, call the library at 330-343-6123 or register online at www.doverlibrary.org.

The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St.
